Crank'n out the Summer Days

This summer has been like most summers I remember over the past 14 or so years. You wake early before the sun comes up, grab coffee from the pot left over from yesterday and heat it in the microwave and get on with your day by making fresh coffee for the next 6 hours.  I often wonder why summer passes me by each year without a memory of it, being so busy can't be a good thing - too bad I can't spread some of that busy over to the Winter months, lol.

Just a little catch me up

Last weekend was the Souris Seaglass Festival in Prince Edward Island and for the first time I operated a booth there.  I think there might have been 4000 people attend at different times throughout the two days.

I was over in Nova Scotia the week before and spent 5 days with my brother and sister-in-law and her and I went a a number of shops and I found some amazing props for the table.

This coral is one

This lamp was another (imitation) I love the colour of paint I found for it, good job it use to be red.

I saw this painting inside a frame in a museum somewhere and fell in love with it, so wish I could paint because I have a frame.

Lets see what else has been going on?  Oh, my last sale on Etsy has been 2 bags of sand.  Victoria rolled her eyes at me and said, "mom you could win the award for selling anything."

My little Braxton has been sick for 3 of those days I spent away.  He stayed close to me and didn't get up to do too much.  He is doing better now.

Our Nova Scotia Trip was a blast

We stopped at a fishing village and bought snow crab off the boat.

That was about it, then we returned to the Island for a few days

This little guy made himself happy out of Braxton's food dish.

Guy did the Downtown Charlottetown Farmer's Market himself on Sunday.  I was a vendor in Souris for the weekend at the Seaglass Festival.  It was a nice break from the everyday, the nights were cool and windy only because of where I parked up on top of a cliff.  The wind rocked the camper back and forth all night and I slept like a baby.

Good job I'm well rested this week as it has been a big one.
It is hard to believe it is Thursday already!

The summer is flying by

Well I have 8 in the Bed and Breakfast so I'd better start cooking, besides I hear the coffee pot is finished dripping so my day is about to begin.

I miss getting around to visiting you all and promise to be by soon as my life settles down a wee little bit.
Hugs, enjoy your days as they go by fast when you get older,
Cindy

I thought you must be busy "doing your thing" with the B&B and the sea glass too . . . Happy to see you today . . .

What a great newsy update. so much going on. Glad you had some time away with your family. Was sorry to hear Braxton got sick but glad he's better. Loved the coral used in your display. and the shot of the chippy is adorable...as were the crab-eating men.
