This Aunt Jemima brown bottle used to hold syrup at one time. Now it holds air and quiet a bit of memory based around Southern Hospitality, Mammy, Hoe Cakes, Quaker Oats and Paula Deen (back in the news) The story and history is very interesting around Aunt Jemima in the advertisement sector, however I'm not impressed with the amount of advertisement that Paula Deen has been getting. I have to wonder if her name was Paul Deen would she be pulled through this much mud.

Today for tea I'm enjoying Orange Spice loose tea, and Holland Windmill Cookies that a friend dropped off for me this week. Orange Spice has been the favourite tea this week in Grandma's Tea Room with a couple of guests.
This little spice jar was once my mother's and at this time of year I put my orange spice tea in it at the table and enjoy a cup with memories.

Don't you just love the soft light that a candle gives off most of the time. I remember as a kid we went to bed with flashlights and we would scar the pants off each other making faces over the light of a flash light. This photo brings that memory back as the candle highlights the pumpkin faces.
I made this barrette with little seed beads on a loom, the colours match perfectly.
We have ornamental grass in the back yard that is 12 feet high and I cut down some and added it to Pom-pass Grass to decorate the front door way. In the Green House I have scarecrow that needs to come and stand by the door to finish my door decoration.
Have you started to decorate around the house? This has got to be my most favourite time of year. This week I'm going to try and get out for a drive with my camera and bring you back some driveway decorating that I've found.
I looked for an appropriate quote, suggestion or poem and just couldn't find one for the mix at this time of year. However I did find this statement and it brought a smile to my pumpkin.

I'll be joining Sandi as she hosts HOME, a party where recipes, crafts, decor, family and fun come together. I made her Cottage Apple Cake and Sauce and it turned out amazing. My son-in-law is not a fan or cooked apples so I made this recipe with peaches for him yesterday as Mondays are my day to cook for the busy farmers. I also made a savory stew and cheesy scalloped potatoes.
Today is all mine! Looks like it might be a day for scrapbooking.

You decorate so beautifully! Yes, I have decorated for Fall, I have several things out, but yours are all better! I LOVE your idea of making the pretty teacup and saucer into a candy dish! I have some orange spice tea, and also some Constant Comment, which are a bit similar and both very good. I love the pumpkin you put in the orange bowl!!! I can never think of things like this and am just not creative, so I have to copy the ideas of others! But it seems we both love to drive around and snap other people's fall decorations, I do this every year, so I can't wait to compare!
