Wainwright Alberta

We arrived in Alberta last evening

it was a cool night and a slow going morning

Crossed over Alberta / Saskatchewan Border

The clock tower stands in the middle of the street in downtown Wainwright

This Big Buffalo is at the edge of town, keeping with our bigs and pic's we needed to stop and take a picture of him as well.

Onto exploring the day,

Until our next internet connection,

have a wonderful weekend,

We are about to make another crock pot combination and get on the road.

Cindy

That is a nice clock tower. Are you going to see the Badlands and/or Drumheller? It's worth it if things are open but you can just drive through too. Enjoy safe travels.

I've just caught up with your travels again. It's so fun to read along as you journey across Canada. I disagree with Christmas decorations going up before even December. I think it takes away the special charm of Christmas to see decorations for weeks (months) on end. I love the "BIG" photo collection you're getting! And did you see the Snowbirds flying? I see the jet in the background. We go to see them whenever they're flying nearby.

Very sad about the young soldier in Ottawa. They drove his body back home to Hamilton on Friday evening. It was very emotional to see hundreds of people lining the highway, pulling over and stopping, and waiting with flags on the bridges over the highway as the motorcade approached. We have many bridges in my town (Hwy of Heroes runs through it), and on Saturday morning I noticed a few large Canadian flags still hanging in place, and many flags at half mast. I hope this year especially we'll see a lot more poppies being worn as a show of support for Canada. Wendy x

Safe and exciting travels through Alberta, Cindy! The bison statue looks almost real. Are there any living bison still in the wild in Canada?

Wow you guys are really clipping along. You're travelling faster than I expected. You are going to have so much scrapbooking to do when you get back. You can do a whole album of just "bigs".
