Momma used to say, "It's snow'n cats and dogs."

I wonder id idioms were so overused just to make life interesting.

With all this technology today we don't need to make our days interesting, too bad isn't it?

This week I found some crackle to make my life interesting, what did you find?

Second Crack

When roasting your first batch of coffee the smoke, smell and aroma fills the garage, that is why you should do this outside.  We returned home with our coffee roaster, or coffee arrived on Friday March 13 and we roasted our first batch at home.  Now the 48 hour wait for the gases to leave the bean and enjoy the taste of fresh roast, ground coffee.  If you have a passion for coffee as we do you might be interested in reading some of how we came to be The Roaster Roosters of Prince Edward Island. 

This pic isn't very sunlit, however I could make curtains with these bags when they are empty (thinking sun).

With the preparations of opening Grandma's Tea Room for the season we are going to be all about Tea and Coffee.  Hang in, soon I'll be crafting again :-)

Dark Roast ~ Sunlit Sunday

The Roosters have something to crow about this morning....

Fresh roasted Coffee. 

For a mile around everyone was smelling fresh roasted coffee. 

Have you ever started out to do something, that something vanished, and poof it was gone?  Well that is what happened to a file I recently made with this take on the road computer.  I have to say I've had more trouble using a tablet then I had raising 5 kids.  I made an amazing file called "Sunlit" and poof here it is Sunday morning and it is as gone as the last 10 years have.

Not exactly how I wanted to announce we were doing small batch roasting and sales, but our roaster arrived and we have been turning green beans into dark roast, just the way I like them.  Mr. Guy is happy happy happy, says the next best thing to waking up beside Miss. Cindy is having fresh roasted coffee.

This is our first small batch roast we did. Full, balanced just not dark enough for me.

So we ran it again and this time roasted the beans until the second crack and beyond until the oil spilled out of the bean.
