some jewellery for you

and Seaglass jewellery for me

a lovely hat for you,

and one for me.

There's something special about a garden tea.

Could it be the tea cups?

Maybe it's the tea?

Perhaps it is just the wee little things.

I'll be linking up with the following tea parties as long as time permits, I have 6 reservations for afternoon tea tomorrow.

Making of a Fairy Garden

Do you believe in Fairies?

If so walk my garden path,
You'll find 13 Fairy Gardens once you do the math,

I've created something lovely,
A place you'll want to be.

Fairies have been a wonder and fascination of mine since I was their size. Here I am full grown and I'm still playing, creating and doing a little day dreaming. Isn't that part of life though? living and laughing through play and imagination?

So I've created a mystical and magical spot just outside the Tea Room doors,
for children and young at heart, where they can explore.

Fairies often visit in the evening and at night,
so if you are building a garden keep in mind their bare feet and their tiny flight.

Today in the Guardian our local PEI paper you can read an article about the tea room and gardens.
Here you can watch a nervous me talk about the fairies in my garden.

Make a Fairy Garden

Ingredients for a fairy garden
pebbles
moss
sand
small plants
shells
fairy miniatures (dish, house, Tetley tea pots, little bird houses, mini Kinder surprises)
container for the garden (broken pot, bottom of a planter, wheel barrow, bird bath or box)

Good Fences - Make for Conversation

It's a wonder how a fence with a few ribbons tied to it keeps out livestock. So on my walk one morning when visiting my daughter in North Carolina this Ford driver had been out at the end of his lane collecting the mail and I asked him.  His response was, "no, hell the flags fur me so I don't go back'n my Ford into the live wire."  I got my answer.

Rainy Days and Spicy Rhubarb

Welcome to my afternoon and some of the quirky things that happen at Grandma's Place. This week I'm taking a garden break from planting and letting mother nature take care of her plan for watering Anne's Land.

I'm excited to share that the Guardian came out to grandma's and did a write up and a video (over and over) but we gott'r done finally.  I can't share with you the quirky things you say behind a camera when it is turned on and I can only hope that Mary is a great editor and takes out all of my flubbers. It is scheduled for this Saturday's paper and I'll be sure to post a link to the on line version this weekend.

The Lilacs are in bloom about the Island and a short drive to Cavendish was a showy one for sure. You will have to imagine the colour that surrounds our little Island as I forgot my camera at home.

The house smelled of spicy rhubarb this week after I made rhubarb chutney.

Doesn't it look yummy?

We ventured over to Victoria's and had our Father's Day celebration with the four Fathers in our lives, Dewar Victoria's cowboy, his dad - Aubrey farmer papa smurf, my seaglassing French Gardener Guy, and our son saran wrap Matthew.  Each of the men got a gift bag with a bottle of spiced rhubarb and a little bit of their personality. Dewar got a maze puzzle that can't be completed, Aubrey got papa smurf, Guy got seaglass cuff-links and Matthew got a bottle of my new coffee meat rub. I baked a cake and the four men got to cut themselves a piece of cake first. I put money in the cake and it was fantastic to see Victoria and Matthew light up like they were a kid again.

Well I'm to the bottom of the cup again.
Time to get back at it.
I hope to see you next week for tea on Tuesday.

Bye for now,
Cindy

This week I'm skipping over and having tea with the following parties, will you join me for tea?

Summer Garden Tea

Welcome to my June summer garden tea. I've been waiting for this month all year, it is simply my favourite time of the year.  The month of June not only brings about wonderful smells from all the Lily of the Valley but it is also the name of my mom and the month I was born in.

In the garden

Fairy Gardening Magic

After hours of agonizing over the words, I finally had written the advertisement for
It was only after it was published that my French Gardener noticed I'd included the word magical to describe the gardens.
"I don't know if there is enough magic in the garden", he said.

Today he is chewing his words, especially after I had him recut the same piece of wood 17 times for the inside of my Fairy Home.

it sits in a raised box at the entrance to the gardens

It comes with its own privy leading away from the backdoor

it rained this am so the fairy picnic area is under water,
I'll need to call a plumber soon

The following pictures are all going to be close ups. Many of you visit the gardens and I don't want to spoil the surprise of where these little gardens are placed about.
For tourism guests visiting for the first time you will also have to look for the fairy dust necklaces that have fallen from the fairies necks the night before as they entered the garden.
For blogging friends visiting I'd love to be a guest on your blog.
For my French Gardener visiting, I've made you a special fairy hat to wear on FFF Fairy Friday Fun, days.

Enjoy!!

The bicycle is leaning up against the fence because of the weather today

This garden fairy rides high on her seashell.

I hope you enjoyed my Fairy Garden Tour
wishing you an adventurous, mystical and magical day

I'm expecting a special visitor to the gardens this year and I'm tickled fairy pink,
exhausted and fairied out,
I'm about to join my blogging lovelies for a tea party,

I'll have a cup of my Island morning blend  fresh roasted coffee.

Please pour a cup and join me,
