Remembrance Day - Their Day

We remember the members of armed forces who died in the line of duty, November 11.

The Red Poppy has become a familiar emblem of Remembrance Day due to the poem "In Flanders Fields"  These poppies bloomed across some of the worst battlefields of Flanders in the World War 1. Their brilliant red colour an appropriate symbol for the blood that was shed during war.

Ceremonies around the Island today will be happening in different locations at the Cenotaph in Charlottetown is where we will be then at the legion afterwards.
