Sometimes good fences just provide good frames for pictures
Magpie
Other times good fences protect us from danger
While other fences are to keep you out,
lol, I watched these deer jump this fence like it was a daily routine
for them to get into this ladies back yard and eat the ground apples.
Visiting from our road trip this am in Red Deer Alberta,
on our way to Edmonton today,
Until we connect next,
enjoy your day

oh, those naughty deer! :) loved the magpie! thanks, cindy!
Hi Cindy! I think we have met in Blogland before. I love your pictures, but just as much I love what you say about each one and their purpose. The Magpie is beautiful, I have never seen a real one. And you are right, the fence is his frame!
yes good selection of different fences in this post.
The magpie shows up well on that fence.
Isn't it amazing how the deer are able to jump fences like that.
Nicely capture of the Magpie on that fence
Happy Roadtrippin! Our d-i-l was born in Red Deer. She said she still misses the prairie. It looks pretty in your post. We've never been there.
Great "On the Road" Good Fence entries . . .
what a great assortment of fences!
Great fences, Cindy! Are you going to the West Ed Mall? Put on your good walking shoes. It's huge!
Deer are a menace! Folks try really hard and spend a lot of money here in NC to keep them out of their gardens and yards!
I could just imagine watching the deer jumping the fence for those juicy apples. It must have been quite a sight and rather funny. Beautiful magpie pic. You had a good theme going.
The magpie looks happy doesn't it. xx
