It's hard to be humble this week when a nation is crying,
Ottawa was in our hearts and on our minds on October 22, when this a gunman shot and killed a soldier in front of the War Memorial that marks the grave of the unknown soldiers. Then ran into our government house Parliment Hill where 30 shots were fired and another wombed before it ended.

Keeping with pink this month in honor of Breast Cancer,
here are a few of my favourites to make you smile again
A pink pig peony with one floppy ear
A forsure, is a pink daylily from my garden
This week in the roving RV I made corn bread and I think I'll have some today with pink grapefruit, two of my favourites.
It was a lovely visit we had today, sorry it started out sad but least we forget. I'm joining in a few tea party blogs this week. As most of you know I'm living in a RV these days and travelling across Canada. This is a rejuvenating experience. I'm without data and only connect when we have free Wi-Fi and that has been our biggest challenge. I read all your comments and love having you along on my travels. Although it isn't easy to connect I try and get around to all.
Until we connect again,
God Bless,
Cindy

I have never traveled in an RV but think it would be fun. Corn bread is always yummy with tea!
We were all so appalled...what a tragedy. We have been praying for Canada as we pray for the US. Glad you can take a bit of a jaunt. I, too, love cornbread. Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

I love seeing what you cook & bake in your RV and also reading about life in it, and your travels.
The shooting saddened me , such a loss to a family, a country, and for no good reason. My heart and prayers go to to your country and the soldier's family.
I love that little figurine :)
AND cornbread :)
Cpl. Cirillo's funeral is today, and CBC is running a live feed starting at 10:30 (Eastern). I hope the rain stops soon, but it has set the mood for today.
Your cornbread looks delicious! We make it too, and call it Johnny Cake ;) Enjoy the travels! Wendy x
It's been a sad and shocked week here in Canada.
I love cornbread and I have been craving it since August but I keep forgetting to make it. You have inspired me to do so, Cindy. I hope you are enjoying your travels. Take care and thank you for joining me for tea.
Blessings,
Sandi
It was so sad.... you are right... hug your child today!
We have a camper but don't really travel in it... just go to events such as festivals and car shows. But it is true if you want to you can make most anything.....
And I love coming along on your travels. So generous of you to share your trip with us.
We remember Nathan Cirillo today with sadness and pride as well as the soldier who was run over.
You are right... we need to treasure each day we have with each other... we never know how many we will have. Thank you for sharing.
This is an unfortunate incident. Flowers are beautiful.
This was indeed such shocking news wasn't it. xx
Hope you are enjoying your travels, Cindy. It sounds wonderfully relaxing.
Hi Cindy: It is so sad what is happening to our young men. It breaks my heart. Hope you are having a wonderful time on your travels. Thanks for joining our party. Safe travels, Martha
What a stunning and horrible event. Our thoughts and prayers are with Cpl. Cirillo's family and with Canada.
Praise God for the comfort of small blessings like tea and cornbread.
We in America ache with you. . .
Dreadful . . .
