It was nice to see the Sun shine and the temperature around +5 for a change. I'm sure if you are anything like me the colour gray has been hoverin over for far to long this winter. Lets hope with the clocks jumping ahead today that spring can jump ahead soon as well.
Have you ever driven on a switch back? If so you know what that is like. Well on our trip home we encountered a swirve round.
First we went up hill
A look over the edge
Then it was all down hill from there
Down at last
After winding back and forth it was all worth it for the view when I looked back.
This has been my sunlit sunday.
Continue the journey and join me over at My Little Home and Garden where you can see some other amazing pictures of sunlit sundys.
I've been home for two weeks and can't help looking back over pictures, memories, treasures, and times.

Traveling is so much nicer when the sun is shining. ;)
Good Morning, Cindy
I'm happy to read that you made it back home, safe and sound. I felt myself swerving as I looked at your series of photos; they reminded me of the twists and turns on the Cabot Trail.
Thank goodness you didn't have ice to contend with and could focus on the beauty of your drive.
I think I really should start seriously thinking about a road trip east this year.

I viewed that ride carefully . . , I get car sick . . . smile!
Beautiful drive though . . .
These are lovely, Cindy. I love a long and winding road. Deb
I'm seasick....Hahaaa
glad you made it!

Beautiful photos of your winding way, Cindy. It scares me to think what those roads would be like when covered in ice! Glad you had a safe journey home. It does take some time to adapt again, doesn't it? I always have a bit of a hard time readjusting after returning from Toronto.
Have a wonderful week!

Cindy, beautiful photos. I'd be visiting with them, too -- a really lovely remembrance of your travel. And the sun is shining!
What a beautiful post! I love the mountains and we go up to Tennessee as often as possible(usually once or twice a year). This reminds me of those trips, but there isn't usually snow during the times we visit. We have not had the pleasure of traveling Maryland's mountains together, however, and these are wonderful!
What great views your had on your journey!! xx
Beautiful photos Cindy! I enjoyed seeing this pretty road and it's switch backs. We found some crazy ones in the Rockies last summer. Literally turning directly back around a very sharp curve to a parallel. It was amazing and scary too. At least you had no snow or ice on that particular road. Have a great week and enjoy this sunny Sunday.
Wow what a beautiful drive and scenery especially if the roads are dry and clear. I took some with our video camera when we were out west, and they make you feel woozy!!
WOW, those winding roads! Your captures are perfect. Did you have to stop to take those photos?
A beautiful day for traveling!
The last photo looks very much like a view I had a couple of weeks ago as I look out over Rockport Harbor (ME).
What a ride!!!
Tho, ever so beautiful with the dappled sunlight filtering through the winter barren trees.
Hi Cindy. Boy oh boy you have a mini Riviera there. I love driving little twisty roads and do it as often as I can. Do you drive a standard? I'm a bit spoiled for choice, (husband is a car nut). Standard is so wonderful round the twists. Hope your week is shaping up to be a wonderful one. :)
Beautiful scenic shots from on the road! :)
Such lovely photos! Glad you got home safely! xoxo Jen
